Brief description:
Share a month-long adventure with other young writers while completing a personal creative writing project.

How-to for this program:

We've partnered with Thurber House to host a month-long guided writing experience using Camp NaNoWriMo (https://ywp.nanowrimo.org/). For free you can set up a "classroom" and share access to it with participants. Our participants will be kids in Grades 3 to 6 who will need to sign up for a free account (with parental permission).

In the classroom, we'll be able to share writing challenges and tips. Kids will be able to communicate with each other on a message board.

Thurber House is providing a start-up video to inspire young writers to get started. They will then host two Zoom meetings during the month to help keep the kids going. They are open to doing writing programs with any library. They are flexible and willing to provide custom writing programs. Their rates are reasonable.
