Distinct basal "ears" present

Base concave, sometimes with small projection or nipple in center, the remains of a striking platform from which the flute was detached

Flutes often extend full length of point

Grinding along basal edge and lower blade edges

Similar to Barnes points, although the latter are somewhat shorter

Size: 2 to 5 inches in length

Early Paleoindian: 9000-8000 BC
