Type also called Fractured Base points

Triangular blade, sometimes with beveled edges indicating resharpening

Short base is corner notched

Basal edge flattened in a distinct manner; slight indentation made in the center of the base, then a narrow flake of flint (burin spall) struck off each corner of base toward the center, forming a flat surface

Basal edge ground sometimes

Size: Range from 2 to 4 inches long, occasionally longer

Early Archaic: 7500-6000 BC
