Blade triangular, often with diamond-shaped cross section

Stem varies from expanding to straight with sloping shoulders

Stem as thick as the blade portion

Base edge varies from straight to oblique to convex

Base edge often unchipped, exhibiting a portion of original flake, block, or pebble from which the point was made. This characteristic is a diagnostic feature of this type

Size: 1 to 2½ inches long

Late Archaic: ca. 3500-2500 BC
