How-to for this program:

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

February is for falling in love – with a good book! Milton-Union Public Library’s Teen Department is hosting "Five Books Blind Date" all month long. Sign up and you’ll receive five paper-bag-wrapped YA books where you only know the book's genre and first line. You'll receive a hold alert when items are ready for pick-up and books are to be returned by their due date. Registration is required. *Program runs from February 1st, 2021 - February 28th, 2021

WHAT I'M DOING:

Patrons will sign up using a QR code linked to a Google form, via a link on our website and social media (linked to the aforementioned form), or they can fill out a paper form in our lobby. This form, the flyers, and the sign-up sheets have been made by me before the program. Upon patron registration, I will pick out five YA books, wrap them in a paper sack with the barcode exposed, and then I'll write the genre and first line on each of the "blind books." The books will be checked out to the patron. The patron will receive the books and a cute inspirational mini-journal that looks similar to the paper-bag-wrapped theme. Of course, the books will also be decorated in paper hearts and festive colors.
