Brief description:
Create a adjustable ribbon bookmark with simple sewing techniques.
How-to for this program:
Materials Needed (Quantity 50)
- Fabric or ribbon (about 20" long)
- A small sewing kit (with a needle and some thread)
- A button
- A hair band or hair tie
- Brown paper bags
- A ruler (to measure the ribbon for cutting)
- Stapler (to assemble the bag and instructions)
Time Required
- 30 minutes to cut pieces of fabric or ribbon to size
- 1-2 hours to assemble the bags, directions, and the bags' contents
Tips/Tricks
- A thicker hair tie will work best, as more flimsy ones may break more easily. It is also recommended to avoid hair ties with metal or plastic pieces.
