Brief description:
A mix of take-away material, and virtual submission for 2020's Teen SRP.
How-to for this program:
**For anyone who is struggling to come up with an alternative to their SRP original programming.
I made Adventure Journals in Publisher that can be printed out and put together with a magazine stapler. They're simple and easy to complete. I also have a flyer, and bag tags I made in Publisher that I can pass along. They won't upload here, but I can send the file to you if you wish.
The program runs through June 1st - July 31st (9-weeks).
I made gift bags that include two Ticonderoga pencils, a set of 12 colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, and (of course) the Adventure Journal. Patrons can take these from the vestibule. They may call to register, or there is a tag on the bag to fill out and place into a bucket for registration.
I will graph each teen's progress (first name only) and display it in our front window with a poster board. Teens and tweens can see it from the sidewalk. It will encourage a little competition.

Adventure Journal
Instructions
Every week during our Summer Reading Program (SRP), there is a theme. You'll read and learn about anything you choose while following the theme. Imagine your story and do an activity, or take some small adventure regarding what you've read.
Get creative!
Document your progress weekly using this Adventure Journal. Use your imagination to sketch and color a picture that illustrates your adventure or activity. Write about what you've read and give your thoughts in the provided space. By week's end, on Friday, email a picture of your completed journal entries to Tina Ward:

Weekly themed prizes will be given out on Saturday once an email has been received. Please call the Milton-Union Public Library at (937) 698-5515 to pick up your prize. You must show at least six (6) weeks of work to be entered into the grand prize drawing:

Your progress will be graphed and visible through the library's big front window, and your weekly pictures will be shared to the Milton-Union Public Library's Facebook page on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. The grand prize drawing will be held via a Facebook Live video:
