Start with contacting the author (it helps that she is from our city!). Coordinate meeting times and decide on a platform to host your guest author's event. This particular author likes to do readings of her characters which really adds to the experience. Event is set at an hour and a half but could be longer/shorter. Please note: this was originally intended to be an live author visit.
