Hear Here at PCDL!

Portage County District Library (PCDL) is happy to announce that hearing loop systems have been installed at all five library branch locations.

Library users with hearing loss who wear hearing aids will now be able to enjoy visiting their preferred branch library even more. A hearing loop, a technology which magnetically transmit sounds to hearing aids and cochlear implants set to telecoils (or T-coils), is described by its industry as a device which turns most hearing aids into wireless, in-the-ear loudspeakers. Hearing loops are located in both the circulation and reference areas at PCDL's three larger branch libraries (Aurora, Garrettsville, and Streetsboro) and at the circulation desks of the other two (Randolph and Windham).

To learn more, ask library staff about the hearing loops during your next visit to your preferred library.
