Exciting things are happening at Hoopla- the leading service provider that let's you enjoy TV shows, movies, music, eBooks, comics, graphic novels, and audiobooks digitally- and Portage County District Library would like to share them with you! So let's begin counting...
1. Library users are now allowed to renew digital titles and, when they have 2 or fewer days left on their borrowing period, a button will appear on the title screen asking the library user if they'd like to renew the title. Current loan periods include: 21 days for eBooks, audiobooks, comics, and graphic novels; 72 hours for movies and TV shows; and 7 days for music.
2. They've upgraded their comic and graphic novel experience by allowing patrons to browse the newest releases, publisher, and series. This makes it easier for library users to discover their next favorite read. With this new browse functionality and the Action View feature (panel-by-panel reading technology), Hoopla's made the comic and graphic novel reading experience virtually perfect for library users- for die-hard fans, first-time comics readers, and everyone in between.
3. And if these two new upgrades weren't awesome enough for you, then what about Hoopla's Book Club Hub? Library users- particularly those attending book club or others interested in beginning one- can now utilize this resource provided through Hoopla. They routinely release Spotlight Selections along with materials including a discussion guide and exclusive author interview to help book club members get the most out of book club. And every title is instantly available- no holds, no waiting list, and no late fees. Everyone can begin reading or listening right away, simultaneously, with their choice of eBook or audiobook.
