There’s no doubt that Elon Musk is a controversial figure, but his name is associated with much of today’s bleeding-edge technology. The concept of (and the term) “the metaverse” was applied to Second Life long before Facebook and general tech appropriated it. It’s interesting to me to see how other entities are taking the idea of a virtual environment and expanding the definition to include AR, VR and mixed reality.
